Why this matters

On-ramping is where most new traders give up

The journey from "I want to trade Solana memecoins" to "my first fill" is the hardest part of crypto trading. Centralised exchanges require multi-day KYC, then multi-day withdrawal holds. Bridges are intimidating and error-prone. Native fiat ramps on Solana have historically been thin, expensive, and inconsistent across geographies. Axiom's funding layer exists to make this single workflow — get money in, start trading — feel like signing up for any modern fintech product.

We integrate multiple regulated on-ramp partners under one UI, route each user to the best-priced and best-supported path for their geography, and surface the all-in fee transparently before you confirm. We also support cross-chain bridges from Ethereum, Base, BSC, and other major L1s for users who already hold assets elsewhere. In every case, the destination is your Axiom-connected Solana wallet — ready to trade the moment funds settle.

Funding paths

What works, and what fits your situation

Debit & credit card

Visa and Mastercard supported across 150+ countries via our regulated partners. Funds typically settle within minutes; first-time KYC takes a few additional minutes.

Bank transfer (ACH / SEPA)

Lower fees, higher limits. ACH for US residents settles in 1–3 business days; SEPA for EU residents settles same-day or next-day depending on bank cutoffs.

Apple Pay / Google Pay

On supported mobile devices, fund with a single biometric tap via the same regulated partners that power card flows.

Local payment methods

PIX in Brazil, UPI in India, iDEAL in the Netherlands, and other locally dominant rails wherever our partners support them — usually with lower fees than card.

Cross-chain bridges

Bridge USDC or ETH from Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, or BSC directly into Solana USDC or SOL — Axiom routes through the most cost-efficient bridge available.

Direct wallet deposit

If you already hold SOL or USDC on Solana, simply send it to your connected wallet — Axiom credits the trading interface instantly upon finality.

Wire transfer (high-value)

For institutional sizes, wire transfer paths through partner banks support six- and seven-figure deposits with white-glove onboarding.

Regulated KYC

All fiat paths are KYC-gated by our partners, who hold the licenses in your jurisdiction. Axiom never stores raw KYC documents.

Trade-ready settlement

Funds land as Solana USDC or SOL — no intermediate token, no extra swap. Open the trade ticket the moment the balance updates.

How a funding session works

Step by step, in plain terms

1. Choose your path

From the Buy Crypto screen, pick the asset you want (USDC or SOL), the source (card, bank, Apple Pay, bridge, or direct deposit), and the amount. Axiom queries the available partners in real time and shows the total cost including network fees, partner fees, and FX spread — broken out line by line.

2. Complete the partner flow

You are handed off to the regulated partner that handles your chosen rail. First-time users complete a brief KYC (document upload, selfie match) which our partners process in minutes for most jurisdictions. Returning users typically skip straight to checkout. Axiom never sees your card number, your bank credentials, or your government ID — the partner holds those.

3. Settle to your wallet

The partner settles USDC or SOL directly to the Solana wallet you have connected to Axiom. Card and Apple Pay flows are typically credited within minutes; bank rails follow the underlying network's cutoff schedule; bridges depend on source chain finality. You see the deposit appear in your portfolio in real time as the transaction confirms.

4. Trade

The moment the balance is in your wallet, every Axiom feature is available: spot swaps, limit orders, perpetuals through Hyperliquid, copy-trading, the lot. There is no intermediate funding step inside Axiom — your trading interface is your wallet.

Fees & cost transparency

What you actually pay

Funding fees come from three sources: the regulated partner's processing fee, network fees on the destination chain, and (for fiat) any FX spread between your local currency and USD. Axiom takes zero markup on top of these — we pass partner quotes through verbatim and show the total cost in your local currency before you confirm.

In broad strokes, expect:

  • Card / Apple Pay: typically the most expensive (~3–5% all-in) but the fastest and most flexible.
  • Bank transfer (ACH / SEPA / local rails): meaningfully cheaper (~1–2% all-in) with 1–3 day settlement for most rails, near-instant for some local schemes.
  • Cross-chain bridges: bridge fee plus destination gas; typically the cheapest for users who already hold crypto elsewhere.
  • Direct wallet deposit: only the Solana network fee (cents) — free for practical purposes.

Axiom's funding screen always shows the all-in cost and the expected settlement window before you commit. There are no hidden conversion fees, no buried minimums, and no withdrawal restrictions on funded balances.

Security & compliance

What's regulated, what's self-custody

Every fiat on-ramp is operated by a regulated partner with appropriate licenses in your jurisdiction (money-transmitter licenses in the US, EMI licenses in the EU, equivalent local regimes elsewhere). KYC is performed by the partner, not by Axiom, and the partner is responsible for compliance with local AML rules.

Once funds land in your wallet, they are self-custodied. Axiom is a non-custodial trading interface; we do not hold balances, we do not control withdrawals, and we cannot freeze your account in any way that matters. You can send the funds elsewhere, withdraw to any other wallet, or simply sit on them without trading — our presence in the picture ends at "funds delivered."

Bridging from other chains

Existing holders, fastest path in

If you already hold USDC on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, or BSC, bridging is usually the cheapest and fastest way to get into Axiom. The Buy Crypto screen exposes a guided bridge path through our partner aggregators, which select the most cost-efficient route for your source chain and amount. For supported source chains, the entire flow — sign the source-chain transaction, wait for finality, receive on Solana — typically completes in minutes.

We deliberately do not run our own bridge. Bridging is a high-stakes engineering problem best left to specialists with battle-tested security. By aggregating across multiple audited partners, we get pricing competition and route flexibility without inheriting any single bridge's risk profile.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does KYC take?

For most jurisdictions and most users, automated KYC clears in 2–10 minutes. Edge cases (uncommon document types, manual review flags) can take up to 24 hours.

Is my country supported?

Card and Apple Pay paths cover 150+ countries. Bank rails depend on local partner coverage — the Buy Crypto screen lists supported methods for your detected geography.

What if my deposit fails?

Failed fiat charges are reversed by the partner per their standard policy (usually 1–5 business days back to source). Failed bridges either complete on retry or refund on the source chain. Axiom never holds a "failed" balance.

Are there deposit limits?

Per-transaction and daily limits depend on your KYC tier with the chosen partner. Higher-tier verification raises limits substantially. For institutional sizes, contact support for the wire path.
