Account and onboarding
Do I need to verify my identity to use Axiom? No. Axiom is non-custodial and never asks for personal documents to trade. The optional fiat on-ramp is operated by a regulated third party and applies its own KYC for card and bank transactions; if you fund your wallet from another wallet or exchange, no Axiom-side verification is involved.
How long does it take to get started? Most users are trading within five minutes of landing on the site for the first time. Sign in with an email or wallet, fund the session wallet, and the trade widget is live.
Can I use Axiom from any country? Axiom is available globally with a small number of sanctioned-jurisdiction exclusions. Some features — notably the integrated fiat on-ramp — depend on the on-ramp provider's local availability, which differs by country.
Custody and safety
Where are my funds? Always on-chain, in a wallet you control. Session wallets are held in Turnkey's MPC infrastructure and constrained by signing policies you explicitly authorize. Axiom never takes custody.
What happens if Axiom goes offline? Your funds are unaffected. You can move them with any standard Solana wallet that holds your seed (for self-custodied wallets) or revoke session-wallet authority through Turnkey's recovery flow (for session wallets). The platform's availability and your custody are independent.
Is there a withdrawal limit? No. You can move the full balance of any wallet you control at any time.
Trading mechanics
What's the minimum trade size? There is no platform minimum; practical minimums depend on Solana network fees and the slippage you'll accept on a tiny order. Most users find anything under $5 noisy after fees.
Can I place limit orders? Yes — see the limit orders page for a full description. Limit orders are signed locally and filled when the on-chain price crosses your trigger, with the same MEV protection options as market orders.
Do you support stop losses? Yes, including trailing stops on the perpetuals venue. Always use Secure MEV mode on stops; the trigger price is public and predictable, which makes them the easiest transactions to sandwich.
Fees and costs
What does Axiom charge? Spot trades are charged a transparent percentage fee published on the fees page. There are no deposit or withdrawal fees. Perpetuals fees follow the venue's published schedule with no Axiom mark-up.
Are there discounts for high-volume traders? Yes; the fee tier system is described on the fees page. Tiers are computed from a rolling 30-day volume window and update automatically.
API and automation
Can I run a bot on Axiom? Yes. The API overview blog post is the best starting point; the full reference lives at api.axiom.trade/docs. Keys are scoped (read, trade, admin) and rate-limited generously enough for typical retail automation.
Are there webhooks? Yes — order fills, liquidation-risk alerts, and Pulse matches. All webhooks are HMAC-signed; verify the signature before acting on the payload.
Help and support
How do I reach a human? The in-app support widget for trading issues, security@trade-on-axiom.com for security, and the contact form for everything else. Response times and routing are detailed on the contact page.
Practical scenarios traders ask us about
Onboarding scenarios
I already trade on a centralized exchange — what changes day one? The biggest change is custody. The assets you trade live in a wallet you control rather than in the exchange's omnibus account. Funding takes one extra step (a withdrawal to your wallet), and from then on everything is faster: no deposit confirmation delays, no withdrawal queues, no daily limits. The trade interface should feel familiar within an hour of use.
I trade through a generic Solana wallet plus an aggregator — why move? Three reasons: MEV protection as a first-class feature rather than an afterthought; unified PnL across spot, perps, and farming positions; and Pulse, Discover, and Trader Scan, which most aggregator users approximate with five browser tabs and a Telegram bot.
What about cold storage? Keep your long-term holdings in cold storage as you do today. Use Axiom for the active portion of your portfolio. Stream small amounts from cold storage to a session wallet as needed; the workflow is identical to streaming to any other hot wallet.
Execution scenarios
My order says 'route failed' — what now? Route failures are almost always pool-state issues — liquidity moved between quote and submission. Retrying immediately usually succeeds. Persistent failures on a specific token indicate the token's liquidity is too thin for the size you're attempting; reduce size or wait for deeper books.
My order filled at a worse price than quoted. Check the slippage column in Portfolio → Fills. If realized slippage is within the tolerance you set, the price moved between simulation and execution — normal in volatile markets. If realized slippage exceeds your tolerance, that is a bug; file it through the in-app support widget with the transaction signature.
Can I cancel a market order? No, by definition. Market orders are submitted on-chain immediately. Limit orders can be canceled freely up to the moment they fill.
Why did my limit order partially fill? Available liquidity at your limit price was less than your order size. The unfilled remainder stays live; cancel and re-place at a worse price if you want to fill faster.
Portfolio and tax scenarios
My PnL doesn't match my mental model. Usually one of three things: you forgot a position you opened weeks ago; you're computing PnL without fees and MEV; or your cost basis includes a transfer you treated as a trade. Open Portfolio → Fills and walk through the history; the numbers reconcile against the chain.
How do I export for taxes? Portfolio → Export. Choose your accounting method (FIFO, LIFO, average), choose your tax year, choose CSV or one of the supported direct integrations. The export is byte-for-byte reconcilable to the chain.
Can I track positions held in other wallets? Yes. Add any wallet you control to your Portfolio and its positions roll into the unified view. Read-only — no signing authority is granted.
Security scenarios
My session wallet won't unlock. Try the recovery flow from the Security page; in most cases this resolves within a minute. If recovery fails, contact security@trade-on-axiom.com immediately.
I think my account is compromised. Lock all sessions from Settings → Security first, then write to security@. Do not move funds until you have read the response.
Is two-factor authentication required? Strongly recommended, not strictly required. We add friction the moment we detect anomalous behavior, and accounts with 2FA enabled have materially lower incident rates. Enable it the day you create your account.
